The Whitesboro ISD Early Childhood Center is a new building serving daycare, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and 1st grade students. The school is 68,820 square feet, including a 9,913 square foot storm shelter.
The placement of the building features views of the forest, inspiring the central library’s reading tree. Though the library is open to the hallways, security is achieved through strategically placed entrances easily monitored by staff.
While the exterior color palette includes dark bronze tones, the interior celebrates natural colors for each wing. There are three main colors for the wings, blue, yellow, and green, which helps with wayfinding throughout the campus. The school colors, maroon and gold, are subtly added to spark the connection to school spirit. The library is the heart of the school, connecting all the colors in one location as well as bringing the outside inside.
